Sheep and hogs walking through a pasture

This came from Nancy Katz.

I got to know Nancy years ago when she ran a traditional music school in Seattle. It was a great scene - as if a surprising number of scruffy, unemployed, old-time musicians had all awoken one morning to coincidentally and simultaneously decide that each one's true calling in life was to teach Adult Ed.

Adding to that excellent vibe was the location, a former home for "wayward" Catholic girls, and our building mates, the Pacific Northwest Ballet. There was always an abundance of anorexic girls in tutus and crucifixes throughout the operation. Who needed - or could afford - drugs?

Nancy went on to become a founding member of Ranch Romance, with whom she played bass.

Oh, as for the tune, it's one of the best...and that weird note in the second half is one of the coolest banjo notes ever.
